Today, Tuesday Jan 13th, there is a special election in the State House for the vacant 139th State House Seat. Democrat Larry Pemberton Jr. faces Republican Brandon Sabbag.

This district was left vacant due to the death of Incumbent State Rep. Kevin Ryan in November. The district leans towards the Democratic Party, but is expected to competitive tonight.

Today, Tuesday Jan 6th, there is a special election in the State House for the vacant 25th State House Seat. New Britain Democratic Alderwoman Iris Noemi Sanchez faces off against New Britain Republican Constable Jamie Vaughan.

State Senator Ryan Fazio (R-Greenwich) launched an exploratory committee for governor last Friday. Fazio need to make a decision in the next couple of weeks if he wants a shot at the nomination.

Gov. Ned Lamont has called for another special election on April 22nd. This special election will fill the vacancy left by the winner of the Feb 25th special election for the 21st State Senate district won by former Rep. Jason Perillo (R-Shelton).
